Our Program

Venice Lutheran School offers families an exceptional Christian education in a safe and caring environment with an emphasis on high academic standards. We are a Kindergarten through 8th Grade school that utilizes combo classes in grades 1-8, but we also utilize pull out instruction for grade specific classes such as math, reading, and writing. Our program also incorporates art, music, foreign language, and STEM classes in an effort to create a well rounded student. Our focus on excellence provides us the opportunity to help our students grow in academics, character, and faith.

Founded in 1948, Venice Lutheran School is the oldest parochial school in the Venice community. The strong preparation of Venice Lutheran School graduates is evident. “They are well-rounded, well-adjusted, and have great study habits,” says Emilie Gino, founder of Venice High Foreign Language Magnet. California-adopted content standards and curricula form the core of our language arts, math, social studies, and science programs. Spanish, religion, art, music, computer instruction, and physical education are equally important components of our school week. Extracurricular activities include school musicals, art/social studies/science/speech fairs, spelling bees, sports, band, and after-school enrichment classes.

We are a ministry of an LCMS congregation. For more information on our LCMS beliefs go to: http://www.lcms.org/belief-and-practice
