Message from the Principal

Dear Families,

Thank you for your interest in Venice Lutheran School. We are a school of 100 students in Grades K – 8. People are the most important component of a child’s growth and development. We believe that every child is a special gift. Parents and teachers are given the awesome responsibility to help those children to discover and develop their God-given gifts.

At Venice Lutheran School, parents and teachers work together to help children grow the deep roots that they will need to sustain them through life: a strong academic foundation, opportunities to develop their artistic talents, disciplined work habits, strength of character, healthy self-esteem, empathy for others, and the security of belonging to a caring community. Our size is ideal for providing for children the kind of extended family that parents in by-gone days found in village life. Grounded in the timeless spiritual truths that under gird and sustain human existence, our knowledgeable and experienced staff is equipped to help parents navigate through these years of childrearing.

With a strong sense of connectedness to self, others, and mysterious beyond, our core curriculum, music, the arts, sports, and after-school enrichment programs give students an opportunity to spread their wings and test their powers of flight while giving them a safe landing space when they lose direction or overestimate their power.

Venice Lutheran is truly a school:
• Where children are safe
• Where lessons are learned
• Where talents grow (discovered and developed)
• Where everyone knows your name

I encourage you to come and see for yourself. Nothing is better than first-hand experience. Visitors are welcome to sit in on classrooms throughout the school year. I would love to give you a tour of our campus, let you meet our teachers and students, and answer your questions.

Warm regards,

David Rusch
Principal
